Morrell continues to intrigue and impress!

Picked up this book on a whim and couldn't put it down. Completed it on a rainy weekend and then began the rest of Morrells' books. Couldn't get enough.
This book started me reading again for pleasure!
I have since read all of the Morrell books on the market but I think the cream of the crop are his earliest ones. Brotherhood of the Rose, The League of Night and the Fog, etc. Read them in order as they do tie together somewhat.

I couldn't disagree more with the Editor. I am an avid reader of psychological thrillers by Crighton, King, Saul, Koontz, and others, and picked this book up in a group I had purchased at a Flea Market, and was shocked to find I'd never read anything by this author that has some very interesting titles. I have of course seen all of the Rambo movies, but felt them to be overdone and over acted, and hadn't taken the time to read the books. What I have been missing! This book won't let you put it down, and the internal story of the battles between the heretics and the Inquisition are incredibly insightful. The chase to find as much information as possible about both sides keeps you reading long into the night. The possibilites are frightening. No one can read this and not question Christianity...what don't we know?? The story line of a reporter who is commited to a career of helping the environment, and the occurences of "revenge" to those who are ruining it, show us a possiblilty of our earth's future should we not practice maintaining the balance of nature as it was given to us. I have noticed that Mr. Morrell has written further non-fiction titles that delve even deeper into these problems. A book for me is my favorite form of entertainment, and this author doesn't let you down. Mr. Morrell captures you within his spell and he doesn't let go! Great read and puzzling possiblities are in store for the reader of this novel. I want to read everything this man has written--immediately!
