There is something about a Navy SEAL...

This was my first book by Kaylea Cross and I am hooked. I really like military romantic suspense because it is so outside of my reality. Also, what is not to love about hot, strong, heroes that save our country, right? In this book Bryn finds herself kidnapped a few times by a terrorist. Declan, a navy SEAL is part of the team that extracts her and her father the first time she is kidnapped. So starts the attraction between Bryn and Declan. Luke, a former navy SEAL wants to go after the terrorist that he trained and decides he wants to use Bryn (who is also Luke’s son’s best friend) as bait. He calls in Declan to help him as well as Bryn’s friends and security expert’s twin brothers Ben and Rhys. While the story is Declan and Bryn’s ultimate love story, there is so much going on between the other characters which set up the other books in the series. I like characters that make me love them, get mad at them, etc. Kaylea does a good job with this. Luke frustrated me because he was so stuck on getting Tehrazzi. I felt bad for Ben at the beginning because he felt things for Bryn she did not return (but then I was suspicious about him.) There was definitely suspense in this story as well as romance and passion. You can even see that something is brewing between a couple of other characters. Highly recommend! I can’t wait to read the next books in the series to see how things turn out for the supporting characters in this story and hopefully see how things go between Declan and Bryn!

I love this series. I just finished this book and will start the 3rd tonight. I love the action, suspense and spins on these books. I love how the relationships are not right off the bat. They build and build with anticipation. I am so glad I came across this author. I love suspense romance books, and this series is by far one of my favorites.
