    I recommend this book.

I liked the writing. I enjoyed the plot. My child year old learned a lesson in the process.

Really liked the writing and the whole eastern theme. Great moral. My daughter loved it.

    Relaxing

Great story for bedtime since it got my kids thinking and absorbed in the story.

    Fantastic

unique way to teach a moral. The story has a very old and wise feel to the way it gets the point across.

    Yes

I love the moral in this book more than a lot of kids' books I've read.
It's kind of an advanced concept told in a memorable way for children. Well done.

Not a picture book: Beware of these 99 cent titles

I applaud the idea and charitable impulse behind this and other efforts to provide lots of generic, affordable kids' ebooks. But... caveat emptor: This one, like many others, is not a picture book. It contains just two (amateurish) illustrations amid a half dozen pages of text. (Did I miss something? Was this actually written by a child?) I don't think it's inappropriate to presume books in the "3 to 5 year-old" category are picture books. I'm finding that is far from a safe presumption among the 99 cent titles. B&N, please list these appropriately. And why not give us a look at at least *one* page inside the book?

    Funny and Engaging

My children ask about 100 questions per day, so they really identified with Randy and loved following his search for answers.

    Delightful Tale!

My kids loved the way Randy pestered the older cows with questions and sent himself to the stream to swim. Delightful story with a message, too!

    Very Short story

Although it made a good lesson, this was a very short read for any kids over age 4.
