Read the other reviews and thought maybe overrated but they were accurate. A very approachable cowboy book with great facts and interesting tid bits about stuff you may have always wondered about. It gives you things like recipes for actual trail biscuits, cattle brands, the meaning behind old cowboy terms like and cowboy trivia. Great for old western lovers.

Easily approachable, very good book on cowboys. Not your normal boring, serious, lull you to sleep book. The side bars about facts and Rocco says are great but also informative if you just want to skim a chapter. I suggest reading the whole thing, though. It is well worth it. Great gift for a cowboy lovers who want down to earth approach.

We have thoroughly enjoyed reading this book! While this book is packed full of information, the writer's have managed to keep it an 'easy read'. The pages are packed full of information, great cowboy resourse book, simple to navigate through or return to, to look up a fact or two, the pictures are terrific. This will make an excellent coffee table book, conversation piece, fun gift to give or receive, or just keep it on a shelf for your own reference. The recipes are mouth watering-I think I best be off to start my sourdough and crack open a cold beer...and pick up my book again, of course...
