Sparks fly when a sexy cowboy collides with a determined city girl out in a West filled with quirky characters and sizzling romance. Acclaimed for delivering "a fresh take on the traditional contemporary Western," Joanne Kennedy's books might just be your next great discovery!

Being a Cowboy is All He Knows...But No Cowboy Can Rein Her In.

Bronc-buster Mack Boyd can ride a wild stallion to a standstill, but he can't say no when his family prevails on him to come home and help run the ranch. The last person he expects to find there is a high-class Easterner like Cat Crandall.

When Cat Crandall gives up a lucrative advertising job to follow her artistic dreams, she's thinking Paris, Tuscany—not the vast and lonely open country of Wyoming. Her success at Boyd Ranch's artists' retreat could be her ticket to far more exotic places...but the rough and rugged cowboy she meets there is giving Cat a different kind of inspiration.

Praise for Joanne Kennedy:
"Hot, hot, hot. . . with more twists and turns than a buckin' bull at a world-class rodeo, lots of sizzlin' sex, and characters so real you'll swear they live down the road!" – Carolyn Brown, New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of Red's Hot Cowboy on Cowboy Fever
"Kennedy is making a name for herself in the field of contemporary Western romances, taking her place beside Linda Lael Miller and Carolyn Brown."—Booklist
"A sassy and sexy wild ride that is more fun than a wild hootenanny!"-The Romance Reviews, 5 Stars on Tall, Dark, and Cowboy

Publishers Weekly
Kennedy's love of the West shines in this cowboy romance featuring a watercolor artist. Cat Crandall decides to trade in her Chicago ad agency job for a two-week stint teaching painting at a Wyoming dude ranch. Since her sister's death, Cat wants to live life to the fullest, and that includes being a mother figure to her rebellious teen niece, who's attending the art camp along with an elderly couple and their middle-aged daughter, a big tattooed man, and a snooty photographer who puts her teeth on edge. Rodeo star Mack Boyd has returned to the ranch to help his mom out of financial ruin, but he finds his mind more on Cat than the horses, not least because the ranch desperately needs the income from the art lessons. Several romantic subplots and various hot sex scenes are tacked on to a muddled plot of cattle rustling, horse poisoning, and art. Agent: Elaine English, Elaine English Agency. (Feb.)
From the Publisher
"Kennedy's latest contemporary romance packs a powerful, emotional punch, and when it comes to capturing the appeal and feel of the West and it's people, nobody does it better." —Booklist

SNUGGLE UP WITH A STRONG, LOVABLE COWBOY Nobody does a western romance like Joanne Kennedy. With Cowboy Tough she's hit the mark once again. Sassy, smart characters, tough conflicts to overcome, and a Wyoming romance that spreads out beyond the hearts of the main characters of Cat and Mack. The sexual tension is wonderfully hot, beckoning readers to keep turning the page to see how it all ends. A great read.

Great! Struggles in a fun way. A wanna be dude ranch giving artist tours. Their first customer is an artist who wants to get out of commercial art by becoming a tour guide. Guide to a rag tag collection of characters. Fun, entertaining romp. Great for a warm afternoon.

Reviewed by: Aubrey Book provided by: NetGalley Review originally posted at Romancing the Book I adore Joanne Kennedy’s cowboy novels. They are so fun and refreshing to read. You never feel like you have read the storyline else where. She may use a tried and true storyline of a cowboy and city girl but she makes it new and her own. In Cowboy Tough, she brings Cat to a Dude Ranch where she has to bring beauty where Cat does not see any. Cat left her high powered job to do what she loves. She’s feisty, sassy, creative and can hold her own with what life throws her. I loved Cat and all she had to give. She’s tough and needs an even tougher cowboy to fall in love with. Mack comes to the rescue for his mother. A man full of integrity and true cowboy grit he needs a woman who is soft and a lot city to soften him up. The secondary characters are a riot. I loved Mack’s mother. She reminds me of my grandmother. Cat’s niece is endearing and you want her to thrive. The writing and storyline were fantastic. Kennedy is definitely on my auto-buy after reading Cowboy Tough. The only thing that I wish she did was write series. I will recommend this novel to all my cowboy book lovers.
