The techniques are very useful, but I bought the book too close to the exam for it to be truly useful. When used in conjunction with other resources, this is a very useful book. I would recommend that you allow yourself at least two weeks to learn the techniques and a month of practice to become proficient. I plan to retake the test in 60 days, and I believe that what I started to learn will become second nature. The process of elimination was particularly useful when it comes to words that one does not have confidence in knowing.
I am not sure about the math portion, as my degree is in math and physics. I would be very surprised if I did not have a perfect score. The feed back from the exam certainly makes that a possibility. I did not even look at that part of the book.

A good start for GRE test taking strategies. I recommend complementing this with other GRE study resources (practice problems, tests, another study guide for comparison, vocab sets).
To those that are concerned about the errors in the book -- the errors were easily identifiable and did not interfere with my study. For example, when checking your responses to practice drills, you answer may be B. 240, but the solution may be recorded as D. 240. You would arrive at the same numerical solution, but have a different answer choice. This shouldn't matter if you're studying for concepts and practice.
You can also access a list of corrected errors online if you register your eBook with Princeton Review.
