This sample is misleading. Sample about scrapbooking. $$$$$$

The idea the book gave is that you could create great gifts and crafts and maybe even make some money crafting from stuff just around the house or not expensive. It says it will deal with cross-stitch, crochet, quilting, dress-making, scrap-booking "and more". The sample was all about scrapbooking. A very expensive hobby to start up since you need acid-free this and ph balanced that and archival quality inks. People that do it never seem to have enough stamps and alphabets and die cut thingy things. And who will enjoy it all that much if they are supposed to "wear gloves" as the author suggests. Frankly not the craft I hoped for from the title. With the cost of yarn going sky high - as much as two gallons of gas per skein at my craft chain and material not much better all fabric arts are getting expensive. If you have good skills it is true you can unravel old sweaters and crochet or knit. Likewise quilt from old or second hand clothes or cut them into another garment. As for cross stitch I love it but aside from hanging on the wall it seems of limited use and no income potential aside from maybe "man aprons" for bar- be- que ing men with cute slogans or sports or booze themes. I was hoping for oddball crafts like making broken pottery and yardsale crockery into mosaic trays and tabletops or cutting galvanized or copper piping into windchimes in several perfectly tuned scales or some new cold resin or solder materials.
