Editorial Reviews

School Library Journal - School Library Journal
Gr 3-5-- A photo-essay that follows the yearly cycle of a cranberry bog. Modern-day harvesting and processing techniques are shown and described. Text and photos are well integrated, as are the facts in the clear, well-written narrative that will be useful for students doing projects. The full-color photographs, many of which are closeup, take full advantage of the visual opportunities a red harvest gives. They are unfortunately not always well lit, so that a couple of shots are dark or underexposed. There is no index. A good introduction to this Native American fruit. --Sharon Levin, University of Vermont, Burlington
