In this terrific novel incidents from Chaucer's Canterbury Tales are wonderfully transformed into the story of the reunion of an unsuccessful Nebraska college baseball team. The Cranberry Trail has the bawdiness, wit, and human interest of its 14th Century original and will delight those who like baseball, Chaucer and/or just a great read.  See more details below

Incredible read. Need I say more? I promise your vocabulary will be stretch in reading what I will call a 'masterpiece'. However, while you may find yourself reaching for the nearest dictionary with ever turn of the page, I pray that you are able to appreciate, and take time to digest, the expertise inlayed into the manuscript. If need be, read it for a second time, having consumed the meanings of the words used. The second time through will prove to be so enjoyable there simply isn't a better word to use to describe how Kent Cowgill brings you through the story he is telling. A true master is Kent Cowgill.
