Cranium-Crushing Friday Crosswords #2by Peter Gordon (Editor)
Everyone knows that Friday crosswords are the most arduous of the week, created for the finely tuned brains of experienced solvers. Those puzzle mavens can rev up their gray matter on these super-strenuous grids. Only about two-thirds of the 72 crosswords have themes“Chapter and Verse,” “Radical Chic,” “Dress Code”and there's always something tremendously tricky going on, too.

Cranium-Crushing Friday crosswords is indeed difficult. And I'm enjoying every minute of it! The difficulty level makes it all the more satisfying when I manage to complete a puzzle, which isn't often. But I'm happy when I make it to half way on these. If this kind of difficulty would only frustrate you, however, I suggest you get the earlier-in-the-week titles. Monday is easiest, and they get progressively more difficult as the days go on. I didn't finish all the Thursday puzzles, but I finished many, and got almost done with most of the others. It's a great series!
