Meet the Author

I have lived in Las Vegas since 2001 and have been playing the game of craps since 1981. After working for IBM 13 years in sales and marketing I started a transportation company in Colorado.

I sold my company in 1991 to fulfill a dream of sailing my boat, Walkabout, in the Caribbean on a full-time basis. A wonderful way to spend a few years of ones life.

Since returning to land based activities, I play craps almost every day to supplement my meager retirement. I love this game! With this success another dream soon came about in the form of writing of this book about how to win at craps on a regular basis.

I also soon realized that writing a book about playing craps is a hell of a lot harder than actually playing craps.

    more from this reviewer

Want to learn the basic of Craps? READ THIS BOOK!

This book was great for providing information about a couple of basic winning craps strategies. The book was entertaining and is ideal for an individual who has a rudimentary understanding of Craps and wants to learn slightly more advanced strategies for playing - and winning - at Craps.

Solid book with good introductions but not great on the Nook

I liked the book and truly believe in Alan's strategy. I've use plenty of Craps simulators as well as some live action. Using Alan's strategies I can fairly consistently walk away with 40-50 dollars of cash. Yes you do look ultra conservative, but it is for low rollers. With that being said, I wish he went into a touch more detail about combination and spoke a little less on the game. This book is also not great on the Nook. I should have just purchased the book and am sorry about giving it a poor review based on the quality of the pictures that come out on the Nook. If you are the kind of person who wants to sit down with a grand and double it, this book is not suited for you. This book is suited for the person who wants to sit down with 2-3 hundred dollars and win a little hear and there. The book is not about getting rich at a table but using discipline to increase your stack and walk away when you are satisfied with your gains. You will get plenty of money for a solid meal and some drinks out of this while lowing your chances of having the bank broken.
