Kind of a mess.  Rife with contradictions.   **Some Spoilers**  1.  Taylor was seventeen in the first book, now she's sixteen going on seventeen?  2.  Supposedly those vampires, not of Jesse's clan, cannot go out in the daylight, yet there are several incidents when they do just that while either trying to kill Taylor or follow her.  3.  They kiss so much it's a wonder Taylor and Jesse's tongues haven't fallen out.  And the ice and the mints...really?  How does that move the plot along or add anything of use?  Even in scenes where the couple are in a crucial conversation or it's a matter of life and death there they are in a lip lock marathon.  4.  I'll never let anyone hurt you, quotes Jesse repeatedly.  Let's see...Taylor was almost killed when the vamps broke into her house (which isn't even plausible).  She was kidnapped and almost sacrificed.  She was chased and almost drowned.  And kidnapped yet again and bled.  She was brutalized and made to watch a friend die.  Gee, where was Jesse?  With a hero like him, Taylor might as well carry around her very own body bag.  5.  Taylor sheds tears over her grandmother's sister who was killed at sixteen years of age.  And yet it is already another 100 years and time for Taylor to die.  Really?  They must be dog years.  6.  The writer still goes on and on about the way Jesse looks and kisses.  Enough already!  7.  Last but not least, what's with all the errors?  Time to find a new editor because the one reviewing these books stinks at it.  Hope the author isn't paying her. Okay, so yes, this book has a load of flaws but some of it is entertaining.  If you're bored, give it a go but have some Visine handy because you are going to be doing a lot of eye rolling.

Good read, kinda short, needs more detail and better editing.

Conversations don't flow naturally, lead character is boring, her relationship with her boyfriend is shallow, said boyfriend is so cliche it makes me want to scream, bad guy has no depth. Spelling and continuity errors everywhere. Story is very choppy. Basically the book isn't submersive and I'm mad I wasted money to read the second one, hoping it would get better because I thought the plot might be interesting. It isn't.

This book was okay. I was rather disappointed after reading this book because I was expecting it to be better. The prequel to Crash-Crush-was in my opinion a lot better than Crash. I definitely recommend that one. But I wouldn't really recommend this one. I was just expecting more. Hopefully the 3rd one is better. I really like Chrissy Peebles' writing style and her books, but I can't honestly say I liked this one too much unfortunately.:(

I love everthing about this book ecxept all the spelling errors. To me, that's the main problem. I'm sure its not intentional but other than that it was a great book. I can't wait for the next one and the fourth book!
