Women often say, "I can't find a good man," or "There are no good guys out there." Well, I beg to differ. There are "good" single guys everywhere, and like you, they're looking for someone. Many of them are in situations or stages of their own lives that are preventing them from realizing their full potential, and they just haven't met the right woman, the one who will inspire them to be all they can be. The key is changing how you look at life and opening your mind to the possibility of meeting someone you would least expect, in a place where you would least expect it. Once you connect with a man who interests you, the goal is to make plans to see him again with the intention of dating — or, at the very least, to speak again soon. This requires exchanging contact information and being proactive. In this day and age, women, like men, must seize the moment and make their desires known. Dating is the discovery stage of relationship-building. It's the time when you are supposed to learn more about him, but also — and equally important — it's when he can learn about you so you can both determine if there is a connection. Love requires an alternating current. To harness and generate love, the connection must flow both ways. A direct current or a one-way connection is considered lust, not love.

While I have read many dating book, I was so happy to read this one. I have watched the first season of Steven's show and thought he was really onto a lot of different things that women need to be aware of. His book explains these things and really does give you a "crash" course in love. It's highly readable and very enjoyable, as well. I recommend it to all the single ladies.

So I thoroughly enjoy the show on VH1 "Tough Love". I find those girls on the show, highly stupid when it comes to men, though I can't say I've had a wonderful relationship of my own in the past. I'm 25 and never married but after watching the show, I find this book highly useless. It doesn't cover anything that wasn't already on the show and nothing that I didn't already know. Don't be clingy (duh), don't give it up to him right away (duh) and other topics is what this book says. I think it's all common sense...but maybe if you're clueless like the the people on the show, then this book IS for you, and you will learn something. If you're somewhat intelligent and have manners, don't waste your money.

I am single and living in the Phila area. I contacted Steve a while ago about possibly working with him and was turse and rude. My research revealed that there were quite a few complaints about his business practices. I cannot believe he is making money by writing a book like this.

This is on par with a book titled "Dating for Idiots." There is nothing here that is not obvious or common sense. There are no insightful or helpful tips. Basically, this book is simply re-tread. All of these things have been said or put out there before. The whole concept of this supposed sexy mama, and suave son is so lame it's a joke. Reality TV is the decline of Western civilization, and this book is an extention of that. Dating advice for very low brow, unintelligent people, no one with any brains could find this useful at all.

And when I recieved it, I was highly disapointed. First the book was very short, little in size with only 147 pages. I believe I read it in about 2 hours. It don't give you what you really need as far as info and advice wise. They talked about things very shortly. And it didn't give any indept details on any subjects. Most if the things they talked about was something I'm sure everyone has already heard. I thought it was a really bad read and I give it two thumbs down.
