VERY TRUE TO LIFE!!! I had a hard time reading this book - it hit to close to home as they say. This story could have been about a friend of mine, same thing happened. Married to young, child right away, divorced for the wrong reasons. Even though while divorced, they never stopped loving each other. One of the couple didn't date, couldn't stop thinking about her 'ex', the man dated often, trying to replace the lost love and got someone pregnant. Then trying to get back together, the pregnancy comes out, and almost all is lost. My heart ached for Lisa - a lot. This story was so full of emotions, I used them up all. I was so stressed at times, understanding how Lisa was feeling, I didn't want to continue reading, but I am so glad I did. This is a really true to life story - realistic plot. I loved that the author included an Epilogue 2 years in the future. It is especially important when you feel such a connection to the H/h that you want to know they are happy in the future. There is lovemaking over one weekend, not very descriptive as some romance stories are, you just get a feeling for their passion. Great read! (ljb)

Honest endeavor to address the consequences of being too young to work through the give and take of marriage. Sam and Lisa try to work through custody, two years after their divorce, but won't acknowledge their own feelings, and have to overcome lack of communication. Realistic plot line, but formulaic characterizations, especially the secondary characters. Wanted more descriptives and snappier dialogue, not repetitive thoughts where the characters try over and over to figure out whether they are still really in love even when he/she won't say "I love you."

Sam and Lisa obviously love each other but have to go through an awful lot in order for them to figure it out. Story keeps you glued.
