Singalongs for People who Hate Singalongs!

There are lots of sing-along songbooks for kids, teens and adults, and most of them are lame. Typically these are filled with the same tired tunes that we were all forced to sing in school music classes, like 'I've been Working on the Railroad' or 'My Darling Clementine' --hardly songs that get kids (of any age) fired up about singing or performing music. True, there are some books with wonderful new songs, but if you can't read music, then the books are pretty worthless. 'Crazy Campsongs' takes an new, entirely different approach. It's a book filled with fun new songs on topics that relate to today's society, such as weird little brothers, UFO invaders, school cafeteria food, cable TV, video games and dozens more. The best part? All these 'Crazy Campsongs' are written using the book's Tuneswapping process, so any song in the book can be sung to thousands of existing song melodies, from 'Purple Haze' and 'Puff the Magic Dragon' to '99 Bottles of Beer', 'Happy Birthday', 'The Hokey Pokey', 'Mary had a Little Lamb', and lots more. To get you started, the book suggests 100 well-known tunes to use with it's lyrics. This way, every time your kids (or just you) pick up the book, it's a different musical experience that never gets stale. To make it more fun, 'Crazy Campsongs' is illustrated by Mad Magazine's Jack Davis. My kids (8 and 11) are pretty tough to please and they love it. It's amazing... somebody should have thought of this years ago!
