Return to Lovett, Texas, the setting of Daisy's Back in Town, in this smart and sexy new story from Rachel Gibson, the New York Times bestselling author of Rescue Me and the Seattle Chinooks books.
Lily Darlington's been called crazy in her day—and, yeah, driving her car into her ex-husband's living room probably wasn't the smartest move ever made—but the louse deserved it. Now Lily is happily single, and she's turned it all around. She knows she's a good mom, a homeowner, and a businesswoman, all wrapped up in one good-looking package.
A package that police officer Tucker Matthews is dying to unwrap. This ex-military man sure doesn't need another woman in his life. His last girlfriend left him with nothing but memories and a cat named Pinky! But living next door to Lily has been driving him nuts. He dreams about her long blonde hair and even longer legs. And maybe it's time to go a little crazy . . . and fall in love.

I want to thank those that let us know how many pages are in the book. Barnes and Noble doesn' t let us know. It does go into the decision to buy or not to buy. Thanks

So this was what I'd classify as an okay book from this author. First its about 85 pages and dang it I wish b&n would just say that straight up. That said the story line is rushed. Lily is well constructed and her fears resonate with me. All of us question our value sometmes and what we bring to a relationship and i have definately agonized over some of my "choice" decisions in the past. My problem is Tucker. He's "all in" right away and his issues are eluded to but never really dealt with or resolved. He definately had some great lines and frequently said the things that i can only imagine guys think and don't generally say...hence funny. Overally I'd give this a B as its a good story, rather than a great one which this author usually delivers.

Don't waste your money. No plot. Poorly developed characters.
Just an awful pointless book.

I loved this book!! I know it is shorter and seems to move kind of fast, but it is so good. You don't lose anything with it being shorter than Rachel's other books. I love how Rachel will bring characters from previous books into her books. This book shows that sometimes you fall in love right away and just need to act on it before it is too late! Keep up the good work, Rachel!! Looking forward to your next book!

Too Short!!! I was very disappointed in the lack of depth to really explore the characters. Daisy's Back in Town was fantastic and I was looking forward to Lily's story. I feel like it was a total let down. I'm also very disappointed in B&N for not being more up front about the short length. If I'm buying a short story rather than a full book it should be much easier to see that information. When I finished reading I thought maybe I had purchased an abridged version. This book did not do Lily's story justice. We had zero time to get to know Tucker and his history. I was hoping to see where Daisy and Jack's life has gone and sort of touch base with them more too. That is one of the most enjoyable parts of sequels, reconnecting with characters from previous stories. I'm a bit apprehensive about reading the next installment in this series. I hope it won't be a short story too.

It was a good book for 70 pages. It could have been great if she developed the characters more. I wish there would have been more to the story.

Her books always have a good dose of romance and humor, but this one was much to short for a book leading into her next book. Just wait until RESCUE ME is available and read it.

I loved this story, my only complaint is I wished it was a full book instead of just a novella.

It's a short book, so the story is a little rushed. Overall though, great read with relatable characters and a steamy storyline.

Im confused. Is this a rough draft? WHY IS IT SO SHORT? Dont get me wrong, I liked it, but why not develop the characters further? Her other books are deeper. It just feels so short. leaving me wanting more.

This is a great story premise, and I loved the characters. However, there was no subtext, no subtlety in the progression of their romance. Hero states he wants heroine, she states why not, he backs off, she changes mind, and goes and gets him.
This talented author is capable of much, much more and I hope to see it in her next books.

Im a warior that came from the aqua clan. If you want to join that clan its aqua all results. Im looking for a clan. I am only 4 months old. I took on like 20 wild animals at once. I was born with just my mother. I have no father. I have a mate though. 1 kit, candykit. My mate is a fluffy orange tom named rory. He isnt on anymore though. Rory is my mate still though. I a grey cat with ocean blue eyes. I have a aqua blue stripe down my head and chest. That is representing that i was a warrior for the aquaclan. Ok gotta go ~•aquawarrior•~
