From England to China, and from China to America, a journey not to be missed!

Highly recommended for everyone - even my 9 year old daughter picked it up from the coffee table and found it a very interesting read. It details the time seemed gone by yet still in and around us. The cultural clash is vividly intertwined with her mission through rural and metropolitan areas of China. Her faith, courage and humorous character transcended the cultural, economical and spiritual challenges and survived the horror of Japanese internment camp. The "mundane" greatness shone through her purpose of life makes me want to read more biographies and books of the same kind.

If you are a member of a bible study, this is for you!

This women started BSF, which is one of the best bible studies world wide! They have bsf classes in Africa, China and many cities in the United States. This is a life changing class and her book helps one understand why we all need this. She is a very inspiring woman.

    A reviewer

I am planning to reread this book over the summer. This woman has such a genuine love for God. It's also very touching to watch her development from a young girl, desiring to follow God's will, to a mature woman of faith. She also projects a wonderful sense of humor and enthusiasm that is contagious. I recommend this book.
