    A book for every school!

Jim Fay is someone whom I have been following for many, many years. I have facilitated Love and Logic® parenting classes for over twenty years, and have been using Love and Logic® strategies and skills in my third grade classroom for longer than that. I have personally seen how Love and Logic can change both classrooms and families to have loving atmospheres with high expectations in which dignity is maintained, and the control and the thinking is shared by all.

In the book Teaching with Love & Logic: Taking Control of the Classroom by Jim Fay and David Funk, I learned all about strategies for the classroom, and furthered my study by using 9 Essential Skills for the Love and Logic Classroom by Jim Fay and Charles Fay. These are excellent resources, which I¿ve shared with many others over the years. They definitely had a huge impact on my career.

Creating a Love and Logic School Culture by Jim Fay goes beyond the other books regarding Love and Logic and teaching. Readers will find the 9 Essential Skills and many other strategies in this book, but the focus of the book is on setting up a Love and Logic culture throughout the whole school. It would be invaluable to administrators and/or leadership groups working on a schoolwide plan. The step-by-step helps and the examples of core beliefs, along with disciplinary interventions, sample letters, and a comparison chart between system-based programs vs. principles-based programs (Love and Logic) will prove invaluable to any school with an open mind to change.
