Practical info for the midwest gardener

This book tells you of the success and failures of a Wisconsin master gardener. The only downfall to the book is that her gardens are predominately shaded, existing in a mature neighborhood. It does contain a lengthy section on flowers for sun, yet I am waiting for a book that concentrates on the design and recommendations for a barren lot of a newly built home in the burbs. Easy read and advise that goes beyond the instructions that come with your nursery plants.
