Julie Thompson Klein is a professor of humanities inEnglish and interdisciplinary studies at Wayne State University inDetroit, Michigan. She is past president of the Association forIntegrative Studies (AIS) and former editor of the AIS journal,Issues in Integrative Studies. Klein consults widely bothnationally and internationally and is the author and editor of manybooks, including Interdisciplinarity: History, Theory, andPractice; Crossing Boundaries; and Humanities, Culture, andInterdisciplinarity. She is also associate editor of theforthcoming Oxford Handbook on Interdisciplinarity.
