A friend of mine recommended this book to me. I was skeptical at first since it was written by a young entrepenuer. Wow was I surprised - the author, Ephren Taylor is wise beyond his years. I have not been living up to my full potential and I have had many excuses. I was so inspired after reading his book, I signed back up for graduate school. No more excuses! Thanks Mr. Taylor! This book is an easy and quick read written in a 'down to earth' style. I could quickly connect with the concepts presented in the book. It is not your run of the mill 'self help' book. This book is the real deal! It is perfect for someone just starting their career or someone mid career longing for living a more authentic life and moving towards what they really want.
do your research on Mr Taylor before purchasing any of his products. he has bilked people in churches out of millions of dollars. buyer beware
Ephren Taylor's book 'Creating Success from the Inside Out¿ is definitely a motivational read. Whether you are a seasoned businessman/woman looking to sustain your success or a small business owner hoping to secure more opportunities, or a budding entrepreneur, you are sure to be inspired by this phenomenal book. I appreciate Mr. Taylor's perspective, as he stresses the importance of corporate social responsibility, something many people of his stature refuse to consider. I plan to refer to this book during the many obstacles I may encounter as an entrepreneur myself. The road to success can be a daunting one, but having a solid point of reference like ¿Creating Success from the Inside Out¿ makes the journey more endurable and less challenging. Especially knowing someone went through various valleys to reach their peak. I have always believed in my dreams and going against the grain to achieve them. This book validates my attitude toward accomplishing my most seemingly difficult goals. I hope to encourage others to read this incredible book and take hold of their dreams.
Even seasoned entrepreneurs with tons of success in the business world need motivation from time to time. Ephren Taylor's book 'Creating Success from the Inside Out' provided that for me at a critical time in my life. As I struggle with complacency, laziness or even being over confident in my abilities, there are times when I need a good ¿kick in the pants¿ and this book provided that for me. Mr. Taylor is not only savvy in his words, but his personal stories of success work to motivate the reader in a dynamic way. I believe that many people will be inspired once they read this book. I have personally recommended it to several friends whose lives will undoubtedly be changed for the better.
Ephren has and shares a great understanding of what it truly takes to become successful. A+++++
Reading this book was like awakening from the matrix. Reading it may make you recall an excerpt from the 'The Velveteen Rabbit', by Margery Williams: 'What is REAL?' According to Taylor real is defining success by how you¿ve impacted the world! For a book by a young millionaire, I was expecting boiler plate anecdotes on how to make money. While there are principles in the book about creating wealth, this is more of in the most passionate tradition of real self-development. The book challenges you to not fall into ¿the black hole of excuses¿ and re-think what it means to be successful. I can see it will have a broad appeal. I¿m interested in how well this book does. It can be read by corporate executives, work-at-home mom¿s, entrepreneurs and high school students. Get rid of your preconceived notions and pick this one up, it is a winner.
I had the opportunity to see Ephren Taylor speak at an event and decided to pick the book up, somewhat skeptically. Taylor addressed the issue in the introduction that those of us who are more 'seasoned' might have. 'Who Am I, and Why Should You Care About What I have to Share?' We should care because Taylor provides a credible account on being successful. The whole world of motivational books has become very pop culture and fluffy with a very boiler plate formula. This book takes a different angle. I have to admit its more clever then what I was anticipating. Here is a quick synopsis: The first section 'Begin Where You are Now' talks about the authors background growing up in poverty in Port Gibson, MS and his early stage life before introducing the first principle 'Get Off of Yourself.' A bit of a cliche, but simple advice. The book gets much bolder in the next couple of sections introducing the concepts of the Black Hole of Excuses and Dark Hall of Fear. Great concepts about the thoughts all of us have had that try to stop us from achieving our dreams. The book loses a bit of momentum in Section IV Empowerment versus Victimhood and I elected to skip Section V on why every young person should start a business. Section VI Getting What You Need to Succeed is compelling material, especially for anybody who feels stuck. This is where Taylor REALLY goes into what it takes to be successful and if your reading this book to learn how to jump start your career there is real meat here. For me personally I know its going to help me interact better with people. The final section is classic, its called 'Don't Listen to Losers, Whiners, and Naysayers'. Isn't this the truth? A short chapter but great material and a reminder of the importance of having people who are going to support your vision and want to take you to the next level. Highly recommend for anyone looking to jump start their career, learn different ways of looking at success or anybody that works with young people! Great stuff here!
