    I love this book!

This author is very creative and likes to think "outside the box". Even though it seems to be directed toward fabric designers, it has loads of ideas for anyone who wants to use a variety of techniques and media. It is also beautifully illustrated and overall, just full of inpiration.

    Too wild for me

Are you into wild and different fabrics? Then this book will give you all the techniques you need to create your own wild ones by using paint, stitch, stamp and embellishments.

There are lots of galleries for you to view which will give you ideas for creating your own different fabric. While this is too "out there" for my tastes, there are those artists who enjoy the wild results this type of fabric creation results in. Of course you could always tone down the different medias, thus ending with a more subtle look.

Directions and graphics walk you through how to make fabric using the above techniques. So, look over the three pages of tools and supplies and begin your making the fabric you have always dreamed of.

This book is for artists everywhere.

Artist Sherrill Kahn does an incredible job of inspiring us all with her mixed media collection. Using paint, stitching, stamping, printing and embellishing, she takes mixed media at its word and elevates it to new heights.

If you are an artist or scrapbooker, I would suggest looking at this book. From batik to embossing to working with digital images, this book will inspire you with new techniques.

    I LOVE this book!!

Sherrill's book is inspirational. I use her informative techniques in my work. I love the bright colors that she uses and am working to create my own color palette. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone wanting to expand his/her repertoire of techniques.
