    Fantastic book!! Takes a constraints focused approach to innovation

    A novel and sophisticated approach to overcoming innovation constraints. David Owens takes a multi-layered approach looking at different groups and pressures that limit innovation.

    An interesting example of how this works in the real world... e.g. looking at societal constraints on our ability to innovate we understand that certain societal taboos can limit our ability to ideate and innovate beyond our current thinking. For example, discussing sex or drugs may be considered taboo and thus does not enter into our creative process when trying to innovate. If we understand we are constrained by these taboos, we can work to overcome these existing constraints and will be able to be more creative and innovate more effectively. This is one of many practical applications. He looks at individual constraints, organizational constraints, group constraints, etc...

    Great book among many mediocre innovation books.
