    Perfect projects to complete in an evening

    Whether you're learning to crochet or are a seasoned crafter; this books is fun. I loved the cute animal designs, they make great gifts for my grandchildren and most were easy to finish in an evening. The kit includes yarn, felt, stuffing, and a crochet hook; so you have everything you need to make two of the designs. I used scraps of yarn and materials to make several of the designs and the small stuffed animals are perfect for my granddaughter's small tiny hands. The kit is a great bargain and has several designs that would work for beginners. The book will definitely be part of my permanent library of pattern books.

    The yarn is very cheap and the needle is awful to use and some of the directions are not clear or easy to follow. My needle goes through through my yarn. If I could have felt the yarn I would not have bought this product. I like the book but I am going to have to spend more money buying a better needle and a lot better yarn to make these cute animals. I would NOT buy this kit. I paid 17.00 for this product in store and very upset to now see it much cheaper online. So disappointed!!!!!!!!!

    Not for beginners

    I'm fairly crafty and thought as a kit this would be easy to do. But it is not. Yarn is provided for a cute little fish and for a fuzzy beaver. They are not easy projects and the directions are not at all clear, ie, for single crochet they say "insert hook into desired stitch", with a very poor picture and no instructions on which part of the desired stitch to insert hook into. I went to the web to find instructions for all of the stitches. I finally got the lips of the fish finished more or less. They are cute, but I am not sure they are correct.

    Undoubtedly all the other two star ratings with no comments are from all the people who gave up on this kit. It should be labeled as not for beginners, or start with much easier patterns. In addition the instructions should have been vetted for clarity. Very poorly done.

    Adorable and fun to make

    The designs in here are absolutely adorable and as a beginning crocheter, I can do a few of them - and as I get better, I'm able to try something harder. It's a great little kit that inspired a lot of creativity, and you can make fun little gifts. I'm actually making some of them, filling them with catnip, and giving to my friends with cats - they love it, and the cats do as well.
