School Library Journal - School Library JournalGr 3-5-- Beautiful color photographs of ocean inhabitants in their natural settings are accompanied by brief explanatory notes on their special characteristics. Familiar animals such as hermit crabs, flounder, and puffer fish are featured, but in unusual ways, e.g., only the two protruding eyes of the bottom-dwelling flounder show through the white sand. Fine also introduces such odd creatures as the bristle worm, crocodile fish, batfish, boxfish, and more. His brilliant photographs are strikingly clear and make the underwater world as close and familiar as the backyard. The text is brief, making this mainly an appealing browsing book. --Frances E. I thought this book was pretty good. I really liked the photos of the fish, and coral. I thought the facts were interesting. I like the book because I didn't know a lot about sea creatures. I would reccomend the book to everyone because it has interesting thing in it.. I liked it because it was short and got right to the point instead of going on and on. My favoite animal was the clown fish because of the name. It's just so cool. CLOWN FISH!
