    Not the same book as the original.

    I had bought the original 1987 book. I thought the one I bought in Jan 2010 was the same one. It is not- it has been "abridged". Since I could not take the shrinkwrap off, I did not know what was missing, therfore I took it back.

    This is a MUST have.

    I have had this book for many years. The recipes are wonderful. Try the Powderhorn Potatoes or the stuffed filet of beef.Easy but very impressive for that special occasion. This is a winner. A great gift for the new cook and the NOT so new cook. IF I had to choose one cookbook, out of all that I have,it would be CREME de COLORADO. ENJOY!

    The most stained cookbook in my collection!

    Whenever I am planning a meal that has to be right, I inevitably check out this cookbook. Some of its recipes have turned into regularly repeated favorites. It has a lot of good chicken recipes, and its ingredient or preparation lists are never too initimidating. It's a deal at the current price!
