A few weeks ago Nora Grey almost died. When her life was in danger, the smoky hot mysterious Patch did the unthinkable and saved her life. If she died Patch could have taken her life and become human, but instead he saved her and became her guardian angel.  Yet the angels above are keeping an eye on Patch, Making his relationship with Nora…complicated. When an old childhood friend of Nora’s comes back to town, suddenly there are questions involving her father’s death. In this small town of Maine there are a lot more secrets than Nora could ever imagine. If Patch isn’t by her side to sort them out, will she be able to handle the truth?  I can’t say that this sequel was as good as the first. The habits that Nora had established in the first book were completely absent and she reverted to an unimaginative one-dimensional character obsessed with her love interest.  However, I kept going because the plot was intriguing. What lacked in character development/progression can be slightly overlooked due to the thrilling mystery the story created. Fitzpatrick did a brilliant job of giving the reader just enough hints of information to keep me turning the pages. Plus, the ending is even more explosive than the first book. I’m going to keep reading the series but I was disappointed that the second seemed to forget everything good it had established in the first.

This is another great book from this AWESOME Saga. I am really enjoying rereading this series! It amazes me just how much I have forgotten.  In this book, once again Nora has found herself in trouble. This time however, it seems she is on her own. In trying to protect Patch from the archangels, she has broken up with him and fired him as her guardian angel. Being on her own with her problems doesn't keep her from making more of them for herself.  When an old family friend, Scott, moves back to town, her mom is determined to get them together. That is until she realizes that there is something off about him over dinner on night. Nora wants nothing to do with him either, but he always seems to show up when she needs a distraction or to get back at Patch. Especially sense it seems that Patch has moved on with her arch enemy Marcie.  One day she gets a message while out with Vee that says the Black Hand killed her father. The message has a ring with it. Who could this Black Hand be? She is also being followed. Is the Black Hand after her? Does he want to kill her like he did her father? She has to find out who he is. Maybe with a little snooping she can find out! Like its possible for her to do that without creating more trouble for no.  This is another page turner that I know you re going to love. Between the suspense and Nora's emotional situation with Patch, I couldn't put it down...... for the 2nd time. I hot that you will enjoy it as much as I did!

"Cresendo," was an amazingly told sequel to the book "Hush,Hush." The author went into depths to grab the readers attention to get an emotional connection with the story. For example when Patch goes off and starts being a jerk to Nora for no explainable reason. Plus, the way Nora was acting was a complete shock to her character, because she, in the first book, seemed to never in the world would have done all those actions to figure out what was going on to the incidents around her. But, all these unexpected turn of events added to the suspense of what could or would happen next to Nora, Patch, Scott and the black hand's plan. The plot of the whole story i believe was for Nora to find out who truly killed her father and who the black hand was. The fact that Patch went off to Marcie and the way he acts added to the plot; it, in a way, tied or helped tie everything in the book together to become one. The themes to this book was mainly adventure and mystery. Adventure was created with Nora's since of reckless behavior to doing things on her own with the unsolved mystery she had to figure out on her own to be able to save Scott from the Black hand and to know the truth about her father. Now, the author's writing style for this book was very detailed and it seemed as if she had a dedication to try and provide secret hints as to what was happening or going to happen. Becca Fitzpatrick really did an outstanding job with taking her characters and adding a new point of view to them. Meaning, she gave them more of an emotion that could be compared to us in the real world. For example if your boyfriend broke up with you for no reason and started to date your most hated school mate in the world; wouldn't you want to figure out what was going on? Also, wouldn't you be hurt and want to rebel against all you believed in? The way Becca wrote this book made many not to want to put it down because it tied into everyday life, emotions but with a twist. So, for anyone that wants to pick a new book should really start reading this series. I believe it will become the next "Twilight."
