Overview

When loyalties are questioned and bonds forged, the I-Ops find themselves fighting a war to guard not only their secrets but their lives as well.

Missy Carter leads a rather boring, overworked life as a system analyst for the State Department or rather, that’s what she lets everyone believe. No, in reality her life is anything but boring. As an agent with the Paranormal Security and Intelligence, she’s seen and done it all. Intelligence is her specialty, assassination is her hobby. The only problem is that the things she spies on don’t die easily. In fact, some of them were dead to begin with. She’s learned to handle anything life can throw at her. That is until the biggest paramilitary pain her ass shows up again. Lucky for him, he’s sexy.

Roi Majors, second in command of the I-Ops, is having a hard time believing that Intel can only get half the information needed to bring down an underground ring of vampires with big spending backers who are hell bent on creating a race of supernaturals with multiple strands of DNA in them. As the team searches for answers, Roi searches for sexual release. When he finds himself paired with the one woman in the world who seems immune to his self-proclaimed charms, he can’t wait to see her to safety and then bid her good riddance. He never counted on falling in love with her. And he sure in the hell never counted on her claiming to be an agent with a branch of the government no human should know about.

Editorial Reviews

Fallen Angel
5 ANGELS! "Immortal Ops 2: Critical Intelligence is a perfect mix of paranormal and romance that is definitely worth reading more than once. I only hope that there is another story in the works. There are definitely more characters that are just waiting to have their story told. Mandy M. Roth has given readers a beautifully written story and earned 5 Angels in the process!"

4.5 Stars~ Immortal Ops: Critical Intelligence is a fast, furious, fabulous read.

IMMORTAL OPS was an enjoyable, erotic, paranormal romance which had an intriguing premise and was, at times, gritty and intense. It was about one of my favorite types of creatures-- werecreatures. Lukian is surprised to finally meet his mate and is unsure how to reveal himself to her. Paren and her friends are caught up in a situation that they don't understand, but Paren finds strength in the end. All in all, IMMORTAL OPS was an intense, erotic, werewolf romance

4.5 HEARTS~ The second book in the Immortal Ops series, this book tells the story of Missy and Roi, two extraordinary people with very interesting talents who figure out that they belong together, but must first figure out who's trying to get rid of the Immortal Ops team. The love scenes are passionate with an animalistic flare. I recommend that readers read the first book in the series to get some background information, but it is not necessary to understand the second book.

    Good Read

Unlike the first book in the series there was a lot of interaction between Roi and Melissa. At one point in the book i found myself thinking okay enough with the talk its time to get on with the story. Several times i laughed out loud. I have to say Melissa had Roi so frustrated he didnt know which way was up and Roi loved every minute. The book had two good fight scenes where Melissa's strength is the focus. I didnt care for how Melissa's father treated her and wanted to slap him. The sex in the book could have been a lot better and it took away from the story instead of adding to it. I will be getting the next book in the series. I would have given the book a higher rating if the book was more developed. The book was a fun read.

Better than the first book in this series.

I found that this book had a little more juice than the first book. The characters are still lovable, love scenes hot and a nice amount of humor.
