Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
In this friendly introduction to the art of crochet, French crocheter Bayard presents the basics in a visual, no-fuss manner. Each section contains a basic overview of typical stitches, presented with step-by-step photographs followed by a stitch dictionary with written and charted directions and several patterns that use the stitches. The addition of the stitch dictionary elevates Bayard's guide above a simple learn-to-crochet book, and the use of crochet symbols, which allow crocheters worldwide to speak the same language, will help novices understand what these often intimidating-looking groupings of lines and loops mean. Overall, the projects are stylish, and the translation is well done.
