Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher

“Crochet reference works are much less common than ones for knitting, and this one has all of the basic information crocheters will want to have on hand.” —Library Journal

“This book is not just for people new to crochet. The projects include simple, intermediate and advanced patterns. Master intarsia by crocheting a pillow of design shapes in primary colors.” —Paula Moliver, examiner.com

Library Journal
Crochet instructor Oparka has gathered a collection of crocheting wisdom, information, and projects into this reference. Though supplies and equipment for crochet are amply covered, the focus is on technique, and Oparka covers everything from getting started to specialized techniques such as Tunisian crochet and hairpin lace. This will prove useful to experienced crocheters who need a refresher on a particular technique or who are looking for projects to expand their skill set. VERDICT Crochet reference works are much less common than ones for knitting, and this one has all of the basic information crocheters will want to have on hand.

I love this book! I knew some things about crochet but this is a perfect book for beginners and novices! I loved all the clear visual instructions and adore the stitch directory in the back. It not only gives you pattern directions for the stitches, but also diagrams! That helps people like me who are challenged pattern readers. The book even has beginner, intermediate, and advanced projects for you to tackle. The fact that you can lay it flat thanks to the ringed binder spine makes it super easy to have in front of you while you work on your project. It's just an awesome book!
