Part text, part video, all chills and thrills -- Patrick Carman's Skeleton Creek returns!

Strange things happen in Skeleton Creek…and when they do, Ryan writes them down and Sarah captures them on video. Now, the spookiness is spreading, and the mystery is going to take them far beyond Skeleton Creek-into places both unexpectedly sinister and spine-chillingly haunted.

Patrick Carman broke new ground for publishing with the first two Skeleton Creek stories, creating the most successful hybrid of text and web video yet. Now he ups the ante even further, taking the suspense to new places, and taking his legions of readers with him.

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Myrna Dee Marler
This is the second book in a planned trilogy. In the first book, Ryan and his best friend Sarah solved a mystery and discovered $40 million in gold; but now they find themselves involved in a much different mystery (which grew out of the first one) with some of the same ghosts and villains. Their friendship is complicated by the fact that Sarah and her family have moved a thousand miles away. Ryan and Sarah must communicate by text, video, email, and calls—none of which are approved of by Ryan's rather authoritarian father. In pursuit of a solution to this mystery, Sarah undertakes a cross-country car journey stopping at various haunted spots to pick up more clues while Ryan is forced to watch and cheer from the sidelines. The mystery, of course, ultimately is solved right there in the town of Skeleton Creek so in the end Ryan becomes a full participant. As a budding filmmaker, Sarah posts all her haunted encounters on the internet and the reader is invited, indeed almost forced, to go online and see what Sarah has recorded to fully understand the book. This book is really a video game in print. The plot is more important than characterization or probability. It is probably a week's entertainment for a reluctant reader with the promise at the end of yet another ghostly mystery to come, one even more dangerous and thrilling. Reviewer: Myrna Dee Marler

Let me just tell you. If you choose to read these books then you will be heading in the right direction. These books are not meant to be bad like you might here some people say. I am not exactly sure why they only have the third book on here but i can assure you that if you have read the other ones you will get a good thrill out of this one. I have read the series about a billion and one times and it is so awesome. And it is also not so incredibly scary that you shouldn't watch them at midnight or whatever but it is a really good series and i think that you should read it :)
