Overview

She is looking for the one.
He never thought the one existed.
But the one thing that connects them can also tear them apart.

Healing from a loss, Grace Brooks wants nothing more than to move on and has given every man she dated a chance-only to find they're not worth her time.

Tying up loose ends of a case, Hunter Reeve stumbles upon a woman who may be the key to putting away a criminal family behind bars.

As danger lurks, weaseling itself into Grace's life, Hunter is forced to make a choice between his work and Grace. And the wrong choice could have consequences neither one is ready for.

Meet the Author

Author of Erotic Romance, Lacey Silks writes her stories from life experiences, dreams and fantasies. She likes a pinkish shade on a woman's cheeks, men with large feet and sexy lingerie, especially when it's torn off the body. Her favorite piece of clothing is a birthday suit.

When she's not thinking about writing steamy stories, which is a rare occasion, Lacey enjoys camping and skiing with her family (not at the same time of course). She's a happily married wife blessed with two kids who adore going to the library. She's an early bird by nature, but loves the nightly adventures with her hubby which provide good content for her books.

Oh come on! All these glowing reviews? This book was complete crap. Now i realize "Lacey" writes erotica, and as such she is garnering a lower class cliental.... But this "book" was so poorly written, I truly had to force myself to finish it. Completely contrary to one review, there was NO character development, this author(s) is incapable of it. My 10 year old could pen a better read than these people. Agree with another review, it was choppy and had no flow. Really, really substandard. If not for this new platform of e books and publishing, "authors" of this, dare I say it, "caliber" would never get published. Go into all her books knowing they are just poorly executed, cheap, inane, pieces of highschool garbage.

Got to page 10. Can't make it further. If there is a story behind all the sexual lusting, it isn't worth it.

I just got this as a free book. I read the prologue, but noticed the first page from every chapter is missing. This is annoying. I know kt was free, but come on..I might not read the rest of the book.

Another hit from Lacey Silks. How I missed this series until know I am not sure and I am not happy, but I finally got to read Crossed and will be grabbing up the rest of the series ASAP. Leave it to Grace, Emma Cross's best friend to catch the eye of the yummy Hunter Reeve. I don't want to ruin the plot or anything because up this story is such fun, but it is definitely lust at first sight for Hunter! This book has the suspense we loved from the Layers trilogy, just not quite as deep, and plenty and plenty of HOT sex! I am mean, whew someone bring me a glass of water and a fan. I have adored Emma since we met the little meddler long ago, and I can't wait to see what she finds in the next few books.  This was a complimentary e-copy provided by the author/publisher in exchange for a honest review via Netgalley.

Grace has just met a caveman and isn't sure what to do with him. When he suddenly saves her life looking like a model (who knew a shave could be so effective) she finds herself immediately drawn to his strength and confidence. Hunter knew from the moment he saw feisty Grace that she was the one for him, now how does he convince her that he is the one for her. Hunter has been investigating her family for 3 years, a family she hasn't seen for 10 years, but she becomes the key to finally bringing them to justice for all their illegal dealings. This puts Hunter and Grace together almost 24/7 … will Grace finally admit that Hunter is "the one" for her? Can she escape the betrayal of her family? What will Hunter sacrifice to protect Grace?

I was looking forward to finding a new author and the plot grabbed my attention but I couldn't get into the story. It felt choppy and didn't flow well.

Got to page 4 and gave up. When an author is talking about 'hard ons' and 'tits' by the 2nd paragraph, I know he/she is relying on graphic sex instead of writing talent.

Enjoyed the characters and story but it would have been just as entertaining with less graphic sex scenes.
