Another Winner!!! This is Ralph Cotton's First Novel Staring Lawrence Shaw in the FIRE RIVER BOOKS.

I don't know how many books are in the FIRE RIVER Stories, but I have read two. This one and the next which is titled, Escape From Fire River. Like all of Mr. Cotton's books, the story is high above the everyday western yarns available today. Lawrence Shaw (Fast LArry) is back with his drinking problems and his remorse over his life and his dead wife Rosa. But in spite of his drinking and his grief he's still the fastet gun alive. Anything said more than that will start giving away a really great and original story. Mr. Cotton's fans won't want to miss this one, or the rest of the Fire River titles. Shaw is right up there with Ranger Sam on my favorites book shelf.

    I Also Recommend:

    Shaw is back

Wow, Shaw is great along with his partners. Can't wait until Escape from Fire River comes out this Nov. Another great book in the Gunman's Reputation Series.

Ralph Cotton is one of the most orginal western authors today. Characters are realistic with real emotions and personal issue. Dialog is second to none.
