    CROSSING OVER BY FRANK ROMANO

Recently, I had the pleasure to have met Author Frank Romano at a poetry reading in NYC. Fresh off the plane from Paris where he is currently living and working, Frank rushed to the first poetry reading he could find.
I subsequently spent some time with Frank, talking and hanging out and got to know him pretty well.
Amazingly enough, some of the poems in this book, CROSSING OVER, written in his youth, showed a prescience. and a universiality that mirrored exactly some of the experiences we had in the present, especially CITY and DREAM WITH ME.
Frank's other book, STORM OVER MOROCCO is about his experience as a young man seqrching for the meaning of God and life--having been captured and subsequently escaping from radical Muslims.
In the present, Frank is so free of hatred, revenge and rancour that he is passionately devoted to promoting peace in the Middle East and leads several interfaith peace marches in the area every year.
The only allusion Frank makes to this time in this bbok is in the poem TO AUNTIE. I shared your sorrow. How could they hurt little Frankie?
These poems are personal pieces of Frank's life exposed for all to share. Prescient, Universal, Human. Told in plain, beautiful unpretentious language. They traverse Frank's journey through life as a boy, a man, father, lover of women, and Universal Human.
Read these poems and savor them. They come straight from the heart of Frank Romano with love to you, the reader and to me.
