    What a Journey

This is a great book. The trials and tribulations she went through. This book keeps you hooked. I did not want to put it down. I could not imagine going through half the stuff She went through. My hat is off to Irene.

Left a sick feeling in my gut

I was impressed with Ruth's courage, but still unimpressed with her husband and their relationship. I don't think this is the love story she intends for it to be.

    The first one

There are over 500 books about amish , from their quilts to their food and more, but this is the first book to tell what its really like in the amish world by someone who was amish. This book is not your fluff and stuff from hollywood, its down to earth and hits you in your heart and soul. Powerful, enlighting, tender, strong and honest, its evenly told by the young lady and her co-author, she lays it all on the line for everyone to see,she hides nothing and thats refreshing to find in this wonderful little book.
