Overview

Open doors and open minds - Crossing is an unconventional romance, but a true love story nonetheless.

He stole her lipstick...and her heart.

Twenty-year-old Dani Walker can't believe her luck when she's paired up with the gorgeous Liam Garrett as her Acting I scene partner – or when he ends up in her bed. Being a Plain Jane with a mouth on her hasn't exactly served Dani well in the guy department. In fact, she's had nothing but one night stands. Still, she lets go of her insecurities and falls for Liam, despite feeling like he's holding something back.

When Dani finally discovers Liam's secret, she must learn the true meaning of accepting the ones we love for who they are, or risk losing the best thing that's ever happened to her.

The Open Door Love Story novels can be read as standalones, but are best enjoyed when read in this order:

I didn't feel the chemistry between the two characters at all. It was a funny novel, yes, but there was too much humor and not enough romance. I thought Liam's secret was strange. It made the book unique but too weird for me. The biggest flaw was the lack of chemistry. Their relationship seemed forced.

There are so many feelings I harbor about this book. It is NOTHING like I have ever read before. I was so surprised with the twists in the plot. This isn't your typical boy meets girl romance. This is a highly personal glimpse into the writer's life. It is based on a true story. That's what makes the story really stick in your mind after you've finished reading it. I felt many emotions during this book. I was along for an emotional roller coaster ride. This book definitely contained heavy subject matter. It also isn't recommended for the younger crowd because of the sex scenes. Overall, this was a surprising read that will have you turned upside down. I give it four glittery stars for it's originality and sensitive subject matter.

When I first got into it and figured out what was coming, you'll see what I'm talking about, I thought I was in for an uncomfortable read. I was so wrong I loved every minute of this book! It made me laugh out loud and even tear up a little.
