Three years have passed since the events chronicled in Prince of Time …

Anna has made a place for herself in thirteenth century Wales as a wife, mother, and healer. David has taken more of the kingdom’s rule on his shoulders, even as his relationship with Lili has caused friction with his father, King Llywelyn. The King wants his son to seek a political marriage that will benefit his country—and possibly place the crown of England on David’s head.

England and Wales have shared a border and an uneasy peace for three long years.

And that peace is about to be broken …

Meet the Author

With two historian parents, Sarah couldn't help but develop an interest in the past. She went on to get more than enough education herself (in anthropology) and began writing fiction when the stories in her head overflowed and demanded she let them out. While her ancestry is Welsh, she only visited Wales for the first time while in college. She has been in love with the country, language, and people ever since. She even convinced her husband to give all four of their children Welsh names. With half a million books sold, Sarah is the author of 19 novels and 13 novellas, all set in medieval Wales. She makes her home in Oregon. I enjoyed this series very much. I read the books sequentially having purchased them all at once so I wouldn't have to wait between stories. I'm disappointed that the series has ended. I'd have love to just keep going following this fascinating family. Historical fiction with a terrific family twist!

I really enjoyed this whole series of books. Got started on the first one and before I was through the first chapter I bought all of them. It is a little over the top with how they drove vehicles into the 13th century and then actually drove them around once in a while but all in all it was a good series with a lot of great history and that is what makes it really good for me. You can almost forget they are time travelers once you get into the story.

This series keeps getting better! I started reading this series with the prequel Daughter of Time just trying out a different story type I usually wouldn't get into. I'm so glad I did! This book starts out 3 years after the end of Prince of Time. Explaining a few updates of the characters during the time gap but really starting the suspense on the first page. The events were intense from chapter one to the last page of the last chapter, with no dull or slow moments. There were no major character additions in this book which was just fine because they were able to focus on a couple characters that were more in the background during Prince of Time. The main characters during this book were Anna, Math, David, Lili and Llywelyn. As in the past books, chapters switch between viewpoints of the different characters, but the difference on this one is that days were also switched back and forth. Due to intense events in a short period of time Woodbury stayed with one character for a couple days then would switch to another and go back to where they left off with that character a couple days before. It did work smoothly and wasn't confusing. I did check back once or twice just to double check time periods but I wasn't lost and the flow was still smooth. I wish there was a little more with the characters getting back together at the end of the book and show some of the interactions between the characters reacting to news, but there was enough explanation to be happy with the results in the end of the last chapter and epilogue. Can't wait to read more of these characters in the next book.

I would've like a little more interaction between the characters instead of all the war/conflict drama. I found it boring & tedious after a while. I also missed what was happening with the characters who I felt were missing in this book. I just can't continue with this series.

Very interesting. No reason a teenager couldn't read it, either. Good, clean reading. The plot and characters move the story, and I can't wait to see what happens next. If you start with the prequel, don't stop there, as the rest of the series is actually much better.

I loved this book. Read Daughter of Time first (FREE). I have since read the rest of the series so far through Exiles in Time. I hope she is going to write more. They were all real page turners. I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I read 7 books in less than 2 weeks (I did have to go to work and sleep). I'm as addicted to them as I am to Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series. I like books about history, time travel and romance, and this series didn't disappoint. There was enough suspense in them that you didn't know for sure what was going to happen. There were some funny parts when Meg or her son David took someone back to their future time. When they were in medieval Wales and England, I felt like I was there. I didn't know much about 13th Century Wales (or modern day Wales for that matter), so I learned some things. It was interesting. I would recommend this whole series to anyone who likes any of these genre, and to those who don't necessarily like them, but want to give it a try. I'm glad I read them, and will be posting this review for each of the books in the series, just in case someone finds one of the others first. It's best to read them in order: Daughter of Time (prequel), Footsteps in Time (Book One), Winds of Time (between book 1 & 2), Prince of Time (Book Two), Crossroads in Time (Book Three), Children of Time (Book Four) and Exiles in Time.

Loved the entire series by Sarah Woodbury. The 13th century has always held a fascination for me and this collection is no exception. There is a little foe everyone from some history to sci-fi.
