Overview

Skyy takes readers on another wild ride with former college friends Denise, Lena, and Cooley. These women still have the heart and the drama, but now they're all grown up.

Denise, the sexy star basketball player, has recovered from the injuries she suffered during the incident with crazy stalker girl Rhonda. She is off to New York to follow her basketball dreams, with her true love Lena not far behind, only to hit a bump in the road.
Lena is off to New York to get hers. You have to admire that in a woman—maybe. Life with a female basketball star can bring its own set of complications, especially if you haven't been able to make up your mind.
Cooley is finally far away from Memphis and all its heartache. There is nothing to remind her of her past—except for the huge scar across her face. Have all of her past transgressions finally robbed her of her swagger? Can she handle the women, or even the job for that matter, without being the Cooley we all once knew and loved?
Denise, Lena, and Cooley have come to the Crossroads. Where will they lead?

I was very excited to read this book but when I noticed a few unsavory reviews I became a little scared. I loved Choices and Consequences and hoped that what people were saying about it not being as good wasn't true. I started the book and immediately noticed why people weren't as fond of the book.

This is a new look for Skyy's work. It wasn't the same drama, fast paced book that Consequences was. Crossroads is the first book where the girls are not on the college campus, they are in the real world and dealing with adult issues. I got it immediately. No there aren't crazy women stalking Denise or smashing Cooley's windows, but there is a uniquely different type of drama. It's the drama we deal with on a daily basis - Will i find a job? What should I do with my life?

Lena was all over the place but in a very realistic way. I saw my best friend who just came out in her - a confused girl who has no idea what she really wants because up until now everything has been decided for her. Denise's growth is amazing and changes in the book shocked me the most but again I liked it. Skyy shows us finally that there is more to being gay than being a stud or femme. in the end we are women! Oh and Cooley, I LOVE IT! The one thing I missed was Carmen's involvement. IN this book she just makes scattered appearances but again I get it, she is happy and was just living life, we didn't need to know everything going on with her. In the end I appreciate the change in direction and I can't wait to see what Skyy has up her sleeve for the final book. For those who didn't like the book I can understand, but I think if you really open your mind to what Skyy has done with the book you will see that it's deeper than you think. Was it my favorite? No because I still love Choices. But Crossroads comes in second for me. I like the mature approach the book has taken and I hope that Skyy continues down this path.

    So disappointed

I waited for this book for so long only to be let down. I was very disappointed. It was all over the place. I wonder if this was the original book or re- write so another book could be written either way. I was very upset. I actually did not buy it on nook because as soon as it came out. I went out and got it. As I was cleaning today. I threw it out. Not sure if I will buy the next one.

    Great book as always

This book was a grear read and skyy was def. right when she said that the characters have grown up a lot. After waiting a while after reading the first two books i had enough time to practically create the third book myself in my head. So while it did keep me in suspense and wanting to read more, the story line did not go the way I planned. Especially the ending. But then again it does show that not everything goes the way you want it and Im just hoping skyy hurries with the fourth book soon :)
