A resident of Bradenton, Florida, he owns a 1973 twenty-seven-foot Ericson sloop and holds a 50-ton Coast Guard Masters License. Stinemetz is also the author of Pelicanís Bubba Whartz Stories (pb original), being published simultaneously, collected from his monthly feature in Southwinds magazine.
