The unique blend of technology and magic along with a quick pace make for a fun-to-read book. The author also presents a slight religious tone, from time to time, and some unique philosophies, (such as David Novak's--the main character-- perception of what a hero is). I read another review that said the story would be a good movie script, I would have to agree.
