    more from this reviewer

    A beautiful read.

This little gem is a heartbreakingly beautiful story of the harsh reality that was immigration. The emotion is raw, exhausting and unrelenting - much like it must have been at the time. Very well written!

Good Read - definitely worth the time!

Thoroughly enjoyed this book and will be looking for others by this author. She brought the charaters to life in a way I could relate to and the story was excellent. Highly recommend this and I will be finding more from Pamela Cable.

    Violetsongs story ch four

Violetkit could hardly wait to be an apprentice. After the battle she had a sudden desire to be an expert warrior and her eyes opened to ber future. Things rubbed along with sparkledust who refused them milk and care . "Sparkledust should practice being nice to kits if she truly is going to have some" whispered Hazellkit making violetkit snicker. Suddenly they heard a familiar whine from the clearing" But i wanna come. Pleeeaaasssse take meee. " "Harvestkit! " moaned violetkit. "I told him to stay in the nursury! He never listens!" She ran out just as blackenedclaw approached. " whats going on?" " Well harvestkit would like to come hunt " said sparkledust flatly." Well then let him! Hes my strong son!"boomed blackenedclaw. " i dont know " said Cedarstar warily as sparkledust and violetkit nodded." Aw cmon " said blackenedclaw. " Cedatstar sighed " Well as long as you unerstand the risk and the consequences" Blackendclaw nodded and violetkit felt her heart drop to her paws. "I hvae to follow along sneakily. I dont trust Sparkedust by herself. " she muttered as she ran into the forest unnoticed.
