He is tired of fighting. She has nowhere to run.
Red Rock Pass, Book 1
Keith Winston is tired of fighting. The war between werewolves and wizards rages on in Europe, but he’s come home to Red Rock, Montana in hopes of finding a bit of peace. Instead he finds more strife as he struggles against the pack’s dictates that he resume his place as the alpha’s right-hand man.
When he rescues a new wolf on the run, he knows his instant attraction to her could cause trouble. What he doesn’t expect is to find himself embroiled in another battle that goes against all his instincts—and his heart.
Abigail Adler learned about the existence of werewolves only when she became one. With her life threatened by a corrupt alpha, she flees to the only sanctuary she knows: Red Rock. While she’s grateful for the pack’s protection, she chafes under its unbreakable rules of conduct—except when it comes to submitting to the passion Keith stirs in her.
Then her tormentor kidnaps her sister in an attempt to lure her out of hiding. To save her, Abby and Keith must be willing to do the very thing that could get them all killed—break all of the rules.

i really enjoyed this book. it was a quick, easy read full of everything you want in a paranormal romance. werewolves, blood and guts, love, lust, humor and a good ending.

Didn't want to put it down! Love it. Was upset that it just ended the way it did, but did that stop me from buying book 2....uh-NO. Can't wait to read the rest of the series. Loved it and is recommending it to my book club!

I downloaded this to my Nook, but usually I jump to the first chapter, so I didn't pay attention to the cover. This book is a drag, no action, no intriguing characters and lame sex. It shall be deleted permanently from my Nook.

When I read the other reviews I had mixed emotions if I should purchase this book. I read the sample and liked it. So....I took the chance and purchased the book, wouldn't be the first or last time I liked a sample and hated the story after purchase. Anyhow, I liked the story. The one review was correct, there is no actual shifting on the story. Some stories are like that. But I did like the story and I have purchased the second book immediately after I finish this one.

Its not bad, but far from good. I spent most of the read tryn to catch up not that the author ever really gives you any real help figuring out whats happening. No back story and the book just stops like the author forgot to send in the final chapters or the first chapter for that matter. Glad i borrowed it cause had i spent money I'd be really mad.

Wasn't quite what I was expecting when I picked up the novel, but I like surprises. Sometimes the dialogue was stiff, and it moved a little too fast - I would have enjoyed a little slower opening honestly, maybe start a little earlier and develop the characters just a wee bit more. As it is the start felt rushed, like it was in the way. I'll probably pick up Book 2 though - because even for the flaws it was a fun read.

I only read the occassional romance title, but I'd rate this one in the fair-to-middling range. A decent read, decently written, and I made it through to the end without feeling my time was poorly wasted.
There are a wave of these paranormal romances out there, from talents large and small. I consider junk like Twilight to be at the very shallow end of that pool. Rogers, with her first entry in this series, manages to turn in something a fair few steps up from that.
Can't say I'd pay to read further into the series, but this was an enjoyable few hours diversion.
How can you have a book about werewolves in which nobody actually turns into a wolf? Well, Moira Rogers managed. "Cry Sanctuary" is pretty much a cookie-cutter romance; the boy and girl basically fall in love on sight, and there's a mustache-twirling Evil Villain (TM) that the girl needs to be rescued from. The supporting characters are bland and don't lend a whole lot of interest or conflict to a plot that amounts to filler between sex scenes. A classic comic book ending sets up book two, though I can't say I have much interest in finding out if anybody actually gets their lycanthropy on in later titles in the series.
Bottom line: Meh. I'm glad this was a free book.

I got this when it was available for Free Fridays. I don't normally read this type of book, and I doubt that I'll start now. The author seemed more intent on getting in as many sex scenes as she could rather than trying to advance the plot or the characters. The author also seemed to be trying to go for shock value with her language (using slang words for body parts, etc). Overall, I did not enjoy this book and will not be reading any more by this author. I felt that this book was truly a waste of my time.

It was a great book. If you don't mind sexual situations, I definitely recommend this book! Nobody under 18 though.
I'm just disappointed with the rest of the series. I love Keith and Abby. Looking at the descriptions of the other books, they seem to be about other characters. I'm not sure if I will read the rest of the series.
I downloaded this as a Free Friday book and I really enjoyed it so I dowloaded book 2 also. I read the whole book in like 6 hours I couldn't put it down.

I really enjoyed the story and characters in this book. It's always interesting how authors take on paranormal subjects such as were wolves to create their own version of the legend, and I liked this authors approach. This is the first book by this author I've read, and will check out more works.
My only real complaint was the ending left me hanging. The focal characters relationship was established, but there seems to be so much more to the story I felt left hanging. As I read, I assumed more of the conflicts would be resolved. The book left me wanting more, but in a painful way (my opinion). I would have rated higher if I'd felt the wrap up was stronger. Still worth a read!

I downloaded this because it was for free last week. I really enjoyed this. I am looking forward to more of this series. I will even buy them. Hopefully I won't have to wait too long since I read so much I can easily forget the characters of any given book.

This was the first Moira Rogers book that I have read and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was not familiar with this series but saw that this first book was available as a free Nook download last week and decided to give it a try.
The characters were engaging and the story line interesting to follow. This is a little bit of a different take on werewolf culture, based on some of my other reading which I found interesting. The book is less than 300 pages so it makes for a pretty quick read. I look forward to reading more in the series.
