The text begins with the analysis of a one-wheel machine, then a two-wheel machine, until finally the analysis of the actual six-wheel machine is reached. Problems to be solved are included. The Hagelin Cryptograph was invented in the 1930's by Boris Hagelin. It was favorably recieved by various government. It was estimated that on the order of a half million of these devices were manufactured.
