Overview

Twiztid's fourth dip into the vaults is -- unsurprisingly -- a set for the hardcore fan; the kind of fan who can't get enough and doesn't mind some ragged edges. Here there are plenty, with numerous tracks coming off as half-baked ideas, but sometimes the lunacy works, like the opening joke "Magic Magic Ninja," a perfect example of both dumb and fun juggaloo chanting. A jumbled set of remixes and collaborations fills in the rest while the usual Psychopathic guest stars, running from Boondox to Insane Clown Posse, makes this a release any hatchet-wielding fan must consider. Speaking of which, concerned parents should direct their attention to the front cover art, which promises "Flagrant Hand Gestures and How to Properly Swing an Axe!"

The fourth volume of Twiztid's Cryptic Collection features five brand new tracks and many rare tracks from previous limited edition albums and singles, all teeming with Madrox and Monoxide's particularly bold take on Insane Clown Posse-inspired wicked/horrorcore rap. "If They Don't Come For Me" is a underground classic track that stands out on this compilation. Amazing produced by rising underground producer Stir Crazy helps make the song complete! "Gimme More" Feat. Insane Clown Posse and "Need Some Help" Feat. Tech N9ne, Prozak, Krizz Kaliko. With production from super producer Mike E. Clark, also show the multi-talented Twiztid members can hang with the best of them. Cryptic Collection four is a guaranteed hit with "Juggalos", but hip hop fans and music fans of all genres alike have to admit the album is very well put together.
