After spending 2 weeks in Italy I was looking for a good but basic Italian cook book. This book was perfect. It explains the difference between different foods, herbs, wines etc. I have used this book quite often and highly recommend it. It's great for having guests and making the whole meal an Italian theme. The directions are easy to follow. It tells you just the kind of cheese, tomatoes, or meat you need for a specific meal. It's a great buy!
