This book is amazing! I work for a study abroad program to Avignon. when i got my internship the first thing i did was go out and buy this book. I have learned so much. for example: did you know that if a woman smiles to a frenchman it means...'i want you!' good to know =>I plan on buying other Culture Shock books in the future.

Having been really anxious about spending 6 months in a foreign country, this book really eased my fears. I didn't realize its value, however, until I arrived and saw the text I had read unfolding right before my eyes. Complete, concise, and easy to read, Culture Shock!: France was an amazing resource into what was going on around me. It helped me avoid making serious faux pas and kept me from being offended by activities which are a major part of their lives. It really was a great resource and at the very least, an interesting read!
