Barnes & Noble - David Sprague
In many ways, spinning this reissue of Nickelback's 1998 debut which never received a Stateside release is akin to looking at a pal's high school yearbook, what with its mix of enlightening and cringe-worthy moments. Curb is considerably less heavy than the quartet's more recent work, a trait that actually works in its favor on the title track and "Where?," both of which carry traces of Middle Eastern flavor in their thick guitar stew. Chad Kroeger was still in the process of finding himself as a vocalist at this point, with some fairly blatant Eddie Vedder -- and, on "Pusher," even a trace of Crash Test Dummy Moe Berg -- informing his baritone growl. There are tilts toward the heavier end of the spectrum here and there, notably "I Don't Have" and "Detangler," and even the more carefully structured tunes retain a fair bit of their demo feel. Curb should fill a niche for the fan, but it's probably not the best introduction to the band -- for that, see Silver Side Up.

    Nickelback- Curb CD

Definitely would reccommend the groups later/more recent cd's. This one wasn't terrible but the others are so much better.
