    A reviewer

Excellent book for anyone who is looking to get healthy or wants a change from tradition medical thinking. I went from being depressed, over weight, run down and not happy with my life. I am now off anti-depressants, losing weight and have energy I haven't had since I was a teenager. Great book! I recommend it to anyone who wants to make positive changes to there health.

    A great book!!!

Dr. Timothy Brantly does a great job of catching the readers attention in th beggining of the book. I am deeply sorry for his losses and I can relate to him alot. After reading his book I see major changes in my body phisically and mentally. I feel like a kid again. I have tried many of the recipes he has made and they are great. Keep up the good work Dr. Brantley.

If you want to be slim & healthy, follow this book

I disagree with Nancy. I'm following this book to the letter. It's easy and I feel great! Dr. Brantley says that at his website he'll give a list of the most effectively hydrating waters and he does, but he doesn't sell water or vitamins. He suggests you do your own reseach and find whatever products work best for the processes he recommends. Dr. Brantley is a naturopath and herbalist well known for making effective herbal formulas and, on his website, he does offer a couple of his own great formulas for detoxing and digesting. I've tried them. They work very well, especially 'Rescue Me.' The point of this book is that Dr. Brantley didn't make the rules of healthy living... he just researched those rules, used them to find the root cause for all disease after his own parents died of cancer and heart disease. In some cases, he cured his own patients, who include Hollywood celebrities who can afford any doctor they want, of so-called terminal or incurable illness, using the techniques and formulas in this book. He's on Rachel Ray because he knows what foods achieve what results in our bodies and Rachel knows that information is valuable to her audience. His website says he'll be on Montel, too, so obviously a lot of people love this book. 'The Cure' teaches us how to use the REAL laws of nature to heal ourselves and stay healthy for a lifetime. I used to find it hard to eat healthy because I didn't know what to make. Dr. Brantley's very simple recipes made it easy and they're incredibly delicious and filling. Anyone could do this - ANYONE! If healthy living is so hard for any reader, let's hope they never encounter illness. There is nothing harder. People are willing to spend 15 minutes in a Burger King line but they won't spend 5 minutes eating organic fruit. They'll take a drug every 4 hours, but think it's a hassle to drink good, dehydrating water and he DOES explain in great detail the difference between types of water. People will staple their stomach, but don't even mention a colonic. Bottom line: those who follow 'The Cure' will be healthy. Those who think it's just too much trouble... well, good luck.

    Sharon loves THE CURE!

In reading the review by Nancy about THE CURE, by Dr. Timothy Brantley, I could not disagree more! Not only did I find this book enlightening and educating, but I found Dr. Brantley's suggestions ethical, responsible and very simple to follow. I am an Acupuncturist and Nutritionist and I recommend this book to all of my patients. I have NEVER had anyone say that this book is anything but inspiring and life changing. As far as Dr. Brantley's appearances on Rachael Ray, I think it is marvelous that he can shed some light and inspiration for those who know nothing about healthy eating and living. I think it is fabulous that Rachael Ray is open to other points of view, and I am sure that her viewers are infinitely appreciative of Dr. Brantley's information and enthusiasm. As far as his products go, they get spectacular results. I have been suggesting them to every one of my patients. The way I feel is, if his other products are as good as these three available herbal formulas, they are well worth the wait! I think that Dr. Brantley is honest, compassion and very brilliant in the way he wrote such an accessible book. My hat is off to him. Thank you Dr. Brantley for being so committed to bringing the truth to the American public. I wish you well and I hope that your grassroots is a grand success. Best wishes, Sharon

    Commercial for author's product line?

The book offers dietary and healthful information found elsewhere for free on the internet. The author does a lot of 'name dropping' in the pages of his book perhaps to give validity to his claims and he tries hard to sell his own brandline of products. Name dropping & sales pitch turn me off...But many of his 'back to health' techniques have merit.

    Insightful, Educational

I loved his book. Easy reading, great stories, yes, stories of his paients were somewhat graphic and detailed, but I think that's good, since it shows realism. I learned many tips on good/bad foods/drinks and the book reinforced the importance of proper diet. Some may think his book is radical, but he can't help it if that's what our bodies need for optimal health. It is what it is. I'm sure he'd rather enjoy telling us that eating more chocolate would be the best thing for your body. It's up to us how far we want to take it. If someone changes their habits to include just one tip in his book, it will be beneficial. I'm glad I bought his book.

    Too Radical- Not Enough Information

After watching Dr. Timothy Brantley a couple of times on The Rachael Ray Show, I was impressed with the tips he gave on healthy eating and was interested in obtaining more information. I was given the impression that his book would follow along those lines. It does not. The first part of the book is testimonial. The second part proposes an eating plan that is perplexing at best. I am an educated person, and I still don't understand his thoughts about why most water is bad for you. His eating plan is extremely radical. He is really into colon cleansing and talking about it in detail. He is very 'California' in his approach and thinking. For someone with such a radical view on foods, I personally believe that it was hypocritical of him to appear on The Rachael Ray Show since it is extremely doubtful he would ever eat anything that she would cook. The other thing that really turned me off was how this book was such a 'commercial' for his product. You need certain enzymes that you can buy at his website. You need particular vitamins that you can buy at his website. You need specially formulated water that you can buy at his website. Incidentally, when you go to the website for the help he suggests you find that certain portions of the website are under development and crucial information cannot be obtained 'at this time.' If you are looking for practical, easy-to-understand information like I was, you will not find it here.
