Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Jeanne K. Pettenati
Kids and adults will love this inventive pop-up book! It combines bright and bold "critters" with amusing names and amazing talents. For example, the acrobaterpillars are yellow and purple caterpillars that catapult through the air and tumble on a balance beam. The grinsect has an enormous smile; when you activate its pop-up feature, huge white teeth are revealed. The sopranosaurus is a special treat. This dinosaur, "bigger than the three tenors," is dressed for an opera. You can actually hear her sing as her jaw opens wide. The author builds on the success of his "Bugs in a Box" series with this book. Children will be intrigued by the delightful critters, which will certainly stimulate their imaginations. Great for a rainy day.
