    A modern classic!

Excellent text for reference throughout the clinical medical school years and beyond. Not something you would carry around with you... but rather, its basically a more clinically oriented, user friendly Harrison's. Dont get me wrong... Harrison's is great when you have a weekend to catch up on a topic... but for some down time on the wards, this text, along with a handbook such as The Consult Manual of Internal Medicine (awesome handbook) or Pocket Medicine can't be beat.
